SUMMER PRODUCTS

We are having fun this summer with all of our new products and we are trying to stay cool. Enjoy our SALE this weekend and beat the heat! haha (code: beatheat). Everything will be 20% off from today until Monday at midnight.
Last weekend, we were in Seattle to celebrate one of our favorite retail stores 31st birthday! WOW, that is crazy! Here are some of fun products that I had the privilege to demonstrate for the big event. As many of you know, the new oxide inks just arrived in most stores so I had to check out these new colors.
The llama garden set has a large flower in it that I am in love with! along with a few fun llamas and we also made a matching die set to go with!
I simply white embossed the flower onto watercolor paper and
then started using the oxide inks to watercolor.
Now to remember what colors these are - haha! Mustard Seed is the yellow and I have to say, I absolutely love this yellow! It's so rich and simply perfect. The light blue is Tumbled Glass, Crushed Olive is the green on the leaves, the reds and oranges are Ripe Persimmon and Barn Door and both of those colors go so well together. I think the biggest surprise was the Old Paper color! I guess I had never really looked at this color before but it's really a nice neutral color that is hard to describe but I'm sure I have this color on many future projects.
I also loved this new embossing powder by Hero Arts called Sand. However, I didn't emboss it. I used my favorite white glue and then sprinkled the embossing powder over the glue and let it dry. It's a fun combo of a couple different browns. The stamps are from our new Mini Van Vibes set.
Another new product that I used, also surprised me on how much I loved it. I couldn't stop making sheets and sheets of it. It's the new Nuvo Shimmer Powders! All you do is sprinkle the powder and spritz water. The more water you add the smoother it blends. This is our Mermaid Camping set that we have been having fun with.
The colors that I had opened were solar flare, atlantis burst, blue blitz. They all blended well together and that shimmer that is left on the sheet after they dry is perfect.
Die cutting some ice cream Popsicles using the paper to make it look like the homemade ones that everyone is making this summer. The new die also matches our new Mini Popsicle set as well.
There were a few more things that I did for the event but these items were my favorite.
Thanks for stopping by!
