Guest Blogger: Wanda Guess

Hi everyone!
I'm Wanda Guess and I'm so happy to be one of the first guest designers here on the Flora & Fauna Blog! I've been a paper crafter for 23 years and started blogging about seven years ago. Feel free to visit me at A Blog Called Wanda or on my Instagram page @stampcatwg. When Cindi told me about her new stamping venture, I was on board immediately! Cindi and I have become friends over the years via my love of Savvy Stamps, and the fact that Cindi comes to teach classes here at my local stamp store. She is the nicest and most talented person. I wish her and Lara so much success and happiness with their new clear stamps. When I saw the images, I loved them ALL! It was hard to choose a set to work with!

For my card today I used the Flora & Fauna Woodland Set. It's full of cute creatures, blooms, leaves and adorable sentiments. I created a little scene on my card and used colored pencils to color the images. When I make cards with a nature theme I love to use Kraft cardstock and pencils. I stamped the images in rich black ink. Everything works so cute together!
The blooms on the trees were the only thing stamped in white ink. Once I mounted my card layers, I stamped more little mushrooms to extend the bottom line of my scene. Long live snail mail indeed! Any friend would love to receive a cheery greeting in the mail! I get so excited when I get snail mail - how about you?

All of the new stamp sets released have the same sweet, quirky and fun design style. The quality of the stamps is first rate; I stamped them right out of the package and they stamped perfectly.  I am going to have a lot of fun using these images. Big thanks to Cindi and Lara for having me as a guest here today. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Wanda, this card is just adorable! As soon as I’m done with my comment here, I am going to head over to shop at Flora and Fauna. I love the colors you chose for the images. They added flowers/grass on both sides of the front panel adds so much to the card. Thanks for sharing.

  • Hi Wanda, your card is amazing and the stamps are adorable.
I have a question and maybe you can clarify this for me: I have been trying to find this blog (Flora & Fauna) for a few days as I did a blog hop and I cannot seem to locate them to see who won. The winner was to be drawn on Apr. 4th but I cannot find their blog. Can you help???
