Guest Blogger: May Park from Mayholic Design

Hi, crafty friends! I'm May Park from Mayholic Design, and I'm so excited to be guest designing for Flora & Fauna today. I created a one layer card with a fun stamped background using the Birthday stamp set.
I started by stamping the birthday cake with candles image in the center of my card front with black ink. Then I trimmed out the candle image from the cake stamp with scissors.
After stamping the cakes, I filled in the gaps with macaroons and cupcakes. Then I colored the images with Copic markers. To finish off my card, I added some dots with a black marker.

This is the same card before I added the black dots. Which card do you like better? That's all for today. Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy crafting.

Thank you again for having me as your guest designer.

Thank you May! What a clever idea to stamp just the cake when stamping the pattern on the card. You are so sweet to create these fun cards and all your hard work to put together this post for us. Be sure to leave a comment on May's blog, Mayholic Design  because she will be giving away a clear set to one lucky winner!

  • Hi there! I’m looking for the spring fling hop to comment on, but I love these cards – so simple and yet so detailed. I like the polka dots and the colors used!

  • Both of the cards are so cute! I like the one with the dots the best.
