Stencil Technique

Hello! It's been awhile but we've been having fun making all sorts of new samples for fall. Our leaf stencil is back in stock! Here is an easy technique to use with your stencils. You first start with using a dauber to cover the complete area of a smooth white piece of paper. Here are a few pictures using Fresh Ink kale and tuscan olive.
Daubers or any type of blending tools will get the job done. I like anything that is fast!
You can keep adding more and more color to get a more intense color. But it doesn't have to be perfect.
Then you take the stencil and place it over your newly blended card.
You might need to use washi tape to tape the edges so the stencil doesn't move when you apply the black ink.
Next you will dauber with black over the green. The black will be the dominant color and the green will disappear, except under the stencil. Remove the stencil and it's like magic!
Here are few other samples that were created this week using other fall colors and the leaf stencil plus another ombre card!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
